School Counselor, last names A-D
Time at Prep: 3 weeks

Erin (Higgins) Joyce `97 joins Gonzaga Prep as a school counselor after spending 14 years in a similar role at Mountainside Middle School.

The 1997 alumna returns to Prep as part of the newly expanded Counseling Department where she hopes to offer the support that sees students mature into “well-rounded, healthy, happy people with a heart for others.” That outcome is exactly what she would tell anyone who asks “Why Gonzaga Prep?” “This is a lifelong community that will wrap around each student to help them become the best version of themselves. There is so much love here!

Her time as a student at Prep remains with her, as she hopes it will for today’s Bullpups, “After all these years, I am still so close with so many friends from my time at Prep and I think that speaks to the environment here—the connections are genuine and strong.

When she’s not at Prep, you’d likely find her spending time at their family river cabin, taking their three children to all of their sports and activities, and spending time with family and friends. She loves to explore the restaurants in our area, a total foodie!
