Sixteen students and four Gonzaga Prep teachers joined high school students from around the country at the Ignatian Family Teach-in for Justice in late October. This annual gathering brings together students, teachers, and advocates to explore social justice issues rooted in Catholic and Ignatian values. Through workshops, keynote speakers, and advocacy training, participants gain deeper insights into topics like racial and environmental justice, immigration, and poverty. Members of this year's cohort presented their sacred salmon project and met with congressional staff from our three local representatives. While in D.C., they also stopped to admire Hawwi Jebena's award-winning entry in the Congressional art contest, visited monuments and landmarks, and toured Georgetown University with Prep alum Colby Kelly `24.
