Gonzaga Prep’s Varsity Knowledge Bowl team placed third in 4A State on Saturday. Their written score plus their four morning oral rounds led them to the semi-championship in the afternoon, where they defeated Union High and Wenatchee High to advance to the championship round against Hanford and Moses Lake, where they placed third overall. This is the third trip to state in a row for Gonzaga Prep as well as advancing to the championship rounds in two of those three years for three of our seniors. Congratulations to team captain Ellie Kladar, Jacob Sarkis, Caroline Saint James, Evelyn Kelly, David Thorp, and Mason Hatzke (all seniors), accompanied by Coach Taryn League `91 and senior manager Clare League.
